Unlike SuperShuttle’s shared-ride, SuperShuttle Express is a direct non-stop airport service meaning your vehicle will take you straight to your destination without stops in between. The type of vehicle will be similar to the picture displayed when you make your reservation and you will not share the ride with others. Service is available for up to 3 passengers and 3 bags and in some markets up to 4 passengers and 4 bags.
SuperShuttle Express also offers luxury black car, SUV, and larger private vans for large groups.
Ownership: SuperShuttle was purchased by WHC Worldwide in March, 2020 with plans of expansion across the US SuperShuttle Express Expansion. WHC Worldwide is headquartered in Kansas City, MO.
SuperShuttle has been providing airport transportation for over 40 years! Many memories have been created since our start in the 80's. Did you know? SuperShuttle has over 8 million passengers per year! And it all started with a pair of skis...
Ever wonder how the blue van concept got started? In 1983 a group of friends wanted to go on a ski trip. Of course they packed all of their snow gear and ski equipment, but came to find out that the yellow taxi couldn’t fit their skis!
So, Mitch Rouse thought about a concept where a transportation service could accommodate for larger travel items and groups of travelers heading to the airport. This was the beginning of the SuperShuttle shared-ride, so that all the friends could ride together and the skis could fit in the shuttle.
Flash forward 41 years and SuperShuttle has become an international brand, helping solo travelers, families with children, and business professionals get to and from the airport.
In the 90’s, the internet became the talk of the town, and the dispatch team had been manually coordinating ride routing with the good old pen and paper. So, with the invention of the World Wide Web, in 1999 the first ever SuperShuttle.com website launched. Of course we all remember the old dial-up sound that would destroy our hearing if the phone was turned up too loud, and quite a lot has changed since then. Today, booking a SuperShuttle can be done in a flash compared to 20 years ago.
Once the 90’s passed we hit the millennial year! SuperShuttle successfully launched services in many different airports such as Minneapolis, New York, Kansas City, San Diego and more.
Today, SuperShuttle services over 80 airports globally through economical "Express" service, black car, SUV and private van service, Travelers have multiple booking choices, opting between phone, web, or app reservation systems. And customers can now interact with a digital mobile map to see where their vehicle is when waiting for pickup and even communicate with their drivers directly.
To all of our trusted travelers over the years, we thank you for traveling with us!
